Nik discovered a profound passion for music at a young age. This passion led him to pursue higher education at Kent State University, where he studied music education with an instrumental focus on viola and organ.

During his time at Kent State, Nik immersed himself in the vibrant musical community of northeast Ohio. He became known as an accomplished organist, performing recitals throughout the Northeast Ohio region. As an active member of the Akron chapter of the American Guild of Organists, Kent State University Orchestra, and many other local music organizations, Nik fostered connections with fellow musicians and enthusiasts, further enriching his music education.

Throughout college, Nik became a skilled violist studying with esteemed members of the Cleveland Orchestra, enriching his musical proficiency and deepening his appreciation for a diverse repertoire of music from all cultures and backgrounds.

Nik's commitment to music education was evident through his experiences as a student teacher at Harmon Middle School and Aurora High School, and through teaching private lessons in Kent. His dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to being a lifelong learner continues to inspire students to explore their own musical potential, and foster growth and a strong sense of leadership.

Additionally, Nik contributes his musical expertise to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Akron, where he directs vocal choirs and a handbell choir. Through his leadership, Nik strives to nurture a love for music within the congregation, fostering a sense of community and spiritual connection through music. Previous to Westminster, Nik was one of the music directors at the United Methodist Church of Kent where he led a vocal choir along with a youth handbell choir. Under his direction and through performance, Nik and his choir from the United Methodist Church of Kent will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in December of 2024.

Today, Nik continues to share his passion for music as he embarks on new musical endeavors- inspiring others with his dedication to success and continuous love for the art form.
