During my time student teaching, I had the priveledge of working with grades 6-12 teaching orchestra at Harmon Middle School and Aurora High School. These orchestras are very high achieving groups, and present a high level of musicality and expressiveness.
At Kent State University, I was an active performer with the Kent State University Orchestra, where I performed in numerous concerts each year. Among the concerts included a performance at Severance Hall in Cleveland, and with local high school orchestras. I became a several-time scholarship recipient through the Kent State Orchestra Society, and was fortunate to study with two members of the Cleveland Orchestra during my time with the orchestra. In college, I also performed with local orchestras including the Tuscarawas Philharmonic, and the Stow Symphony Orchestra.
I am an active substitute organist in Northeast Ohio, and a member of the Akron Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). I recieved two scholarships through the AGO, and passed both the Service Playing Certificate and the Colleague Certificate through the AGO. I have given several organ recitals around Northeast Ohio, with some of the most notable performances at the United Methodist Church of Kent, St. Sebastian Parish in Akron, and Fairlawn Lutheran Church in Akron.
I have had the wonderful opportunities to perform Vivaldi's Gloria and Bach's Magnificat with the Kent State Choirs and Orchestra playing harpsichord. I have been a part of Summit Bells, and Stow Heritage Ringers where I performed on seasonal concerts ringing handbells and engaging in worshops such as Bronzefest.
